Friends who were forcibly expelled from the CIA's short-lived Cuisine of the Third World program tell me that the RT's menu is likely to come to include bamya, kofta, basbusa, swarma, or kishk. I, for one, believe Beacon needs some good kishk, but not as much as the River Terrace needs a new sign. The present one is no less offensive in its own way (it's hideous!) than were McCain Palin lawn signs, and very much more enduring. Max on Main's branding could use some work too, if you ask me, and you didn't. I'm on the case!

For getting drunk on cooking sherry and declaring that Third World cuisine was beneath them. I have some very arrogant friends. I wonder if that says something about me.
