This is the news story from the Mid Hudson News. As a person who has had the privilege to visit Bannerman's by kayak and tour the facility it is sad. As a resident of the Hudson Valley it is a true tragedy. The island is chronically underfunded and now we have lost a MAJOR Hudson Valley treasure.

For those living, working, visiting and enjoying the Town of Philipstown and especially the Villages of Nelsonville, Cold Spring and Garrison. I am hoping to provide the same type of useful and respectful forum as Kelly has created.

Enjoy spring and get ready for a summer full of kayaking with this 3 part program! Two - 2 hour indoor pool sessions and 1 Hudson River Trip. The Hudson River is such an amazing resource and can offer hours of enjoyment in a kayak.

The class covers all the basics of safety, boat control, strokes and rescues. It takes place in the comfort of the BHS pool. It is a great way to learn.
