I have not heard anything yet. I hope they dont have it. It seems like a very unsafe thing to have 1000"s of drunk people roaming the streets for a fake holiday. Maybe there should be some other event held on that same Saturday.
No, I'm betting it sure would not hurt at all, just not sure who you would donate to ! :-))
The Institute is on part of Denning's Point, but as far as I know, the land is still considered in the State park - here's the description from the Institut…
related pet idea: alexander hamilton wrote the documents describing this country's founding financial systems on dennings point while washington was in newburgh. i bet wall street money could be drummed up to put a statue of hamilton on dennings poi…
Really? Ithought Dennings was the Beacon Institue for Rivers? Oh well. Thanks for the info....and Im sure it takes more than a donation but I cant see why it would hurt :)
Pretty sure Madame Brett is managed by Scenic Hudson, and Dennings Point is part of the Hudson Highlands State Park. I would think it takes a lot more than just a donation to get a trail named for someone in either of those 2 places.
I always go hiking around Dennings Point and Madame Brett Park and I was wondering how to get a trail named for someone. Is there a simple donation? Do I speak to the people at the Beacon Institute? Im not sure who even runs Madame Brett.
