kid friendly events
hi there - does anyone have ideas for good events with kids around here for thanksgiving day? we were going to go down to NYC for the parade, but it seems too far to schlep. ideas welcome!

There is the Mid Hudson Childrens Museum in Poughkeepsie. I haven't been in a long time as my youngest is 18. My kids always had fun there but this was at their old location.
I looked online at their website www.mhcm.org They are open except for today, Thanksgiving Day, and the admission is $6.50 unless a member. Address is 75 N Water St Poughkeepsie, looks like they are very close to the train station on the water, looks like you could even take the train there.
