Join us for this intimate, informal gathering at the hive. Each month we'll show a film with a message, sometimes entertaining, sometimes political, always inspiring, engaging and thought provoking.
We'll start the evening with a kind of bring-your-own happy hour at 7:30 and then screen the film at dusk. We'll have healthy, organic popcorn. Please bring something to drink and other food to share if you like.
This month's film: The Corporation
www.thecorporation.com
Canada's most successful documentary... EVER! Provoking, witty, stylish and sweepingly informative, THE CORPORATION explores the nature and spectacular rise of the dominant institution of our time. Part film and part movement... Taking its status as a legal "person" to the logical conclusion, the film puts the corporation on the psychiatrist's couch to ask "What kind of person is it?" Includes interviews with 40 corporate insiders and critics - including Noam Chomsky, Naomi Klein, Milton Friedman, Howard Zinn, Vandana Shiva and Michael Moore - plus true confessions, case studies and strategies for change.
